About our Language Café :

BaselConnect's Language Café, founded in 2012, enables those learning German to practice conversing in a relaxed social setting at no cost, and, in the spirit of reciprocity, provides the option for native German-speaking volunteers to practice other languages. 

The Language Café is free and open to members and non-members. Registration is necessary, as places are limited. 

Sessions take place approximately every two weeks and are two hours long. In the first hour, participants speak German with each other and in the second hour, depending on the attendees' wishes, the group breaks out into subgroups to  practice other languages. We welcome participants who can already have a basic conversation in German  (i.e., A2/B1 level minimum).
